Multicultural Paths to Intergenerational Peacemaking Conference
Event description
We face a significant challenge in our community: a growing disconnect between youth and elders, particularly within migrant and refugee families. This gap undermines family unity, hinders communication, and weakens the social fabric of our society.
The 2024 Multicultural Paths to Intergenerational Peacemaking Conference aims to bridge this gap by fostering understanding, collaboration, and practical solutions. This African-led, multicultural, and interfaith event brings together diverse perspectives from both younger and older generations. Participants will engage in in-depth discussions on critical issues such as conflict resolution, respectful communication, and empathy development. We believe in empowering all generations to create a future where everyone has a voice and feels valued. This conference provides a platform for developing practical skills and strategies to build stronger families and cultivate a more peaceful community.
