Multispecies Coaching project Farm walk, and hear from the participants
Event description
Year 2 of this coaching program is about to start. Join us to visit a current participant’s farm, and hear about their experience growing multispecies for the first time.
This will be a your opportunity to find out if you would like to try growing a Multispecies Pasture and join the coaching program. There is no obligation to join the project. You are also welcome to join this field just to learn more.
At this field walk we will hear from Louise who was completely new to multispecies, and has grown successful crops. We will visit Louise’s farm for the farm walk. Louise hadn’t grown multispecies before and was really happy with her crops: “My cows and calves thrived on the summer multispecies crop. It fed 150-200 head for 2 and a half months!”.
We’ll hear from other participants about how they found the program, and there will be opportunities for questions.
Participants who decide to join this years coaching project will be able to
- Attend two training workshops in spring and autumn with specialist Jade Killoran
- visit two local farms
- develop personalised plans for trialing multispecies on their farms
- compare successes and challenges with other farmers during online meetings and via a chat group
- learn how to grow multispecies pastures successfully!
This year's group will have the added bonus of last years participants to mentor and guide them. There have been so many amazing results so come and see for yourself!
