Multispecies pastures, water efficiency and revegetation FIELD DAY
Event description
Join us for an enjoyable few hours learning about the multiple benefits of sowing multispecies pastures, revegetation and water saving measures through innovative water irrigation and management practices.
Wear wet weather gear if needed and sturdy footwear. Stay on for lunch with Landcare friends, other landholders and presenters.
Guest presenter Jade Killoran will present information on multispecies pastures, including:
1: Strategies to establish multispecies pastures
2: Using annual and perennial species in pasture mixes
3:Â Benefits of multispecies including reducing feed gaps, increasing soil moisture levels and increasing pasture nutrient uptake
Michele Jolliffe from Ag Victoria will present information on strategies employed on the farm to reduce emissions whilst increasing productivity and Noni Brislin from Glenelg Hopkins CMA will cover water efficiency in irrigation systems.
