Artist Talk & Tactile Table: Lottie Emma
14 November 2026
2pm-3:30pm
Join South Australian contemporary textile artist Lottie Emma for an intimate artist talk and hands-on tactile experience exploring care, neurodivergence, and creative resilience. In this session, Lottie Emma will discuss her exhibition Where the Wild Spark Lives, reflecting on traditional women's textiles, neurodivergent ways of experiencing the world, and how she transforms repurposed fabrics, embroidery, and soft sculpture into expressions of resistance, hope, and the invisible labour of care. Following the discussion, participants can connect directly with the artist during an open Q&A and engage with her materials at an interactive Tactile Table—a sensory experience offering a touch-first connection to raw upcycled fibers, textured swatches, and working elements from her soft sculptures.
