Event description

From the SOLD OUT success of our first art therapy workshop, we have decided to do a monthly art class in alignment with our selected ARTIVIST theme of the month! Introducing...

Murals for Change X Save the Bees

By now, most of us have been exposed to extended lock-down's & hard border closures that have caused severe disruption to our every day lives.

We all share a common issue: no bees = no life. Save the Bees Australia aims to empower others to create change in their world, just like we, at Murals for Change, encourage everyone to use art as a tool for transformation. Together we're working together to empower, uplift, educate and inspire our community!

More info on Save The Bees
Bees and humanity face a major challenge from insecticides, herbicides, industrial-scale monoculture food farming and habitat fragmentation. Together we can tackle these issues and Save the Bees.

The workshop will be a gently journey of self-discovery, conversation, channelling the knowledge, wisdom and experiences of Montana as we explore using Art as a form of expression and hope.

We will also be lucky enough to be joined by Founder of Save The Bees Australia, Simon Mulvany who will share key insights of the importance of saving the bees and what he has learned over the years of his tireless efforts of protecting our environment and real world activism.

If you're looking for a positive end to the week and insightful discussion to help shift (& hopefully uplift) your mindset and learn more about an environmental cause – this workshop is for you.

More about Art Therapy:
Art therapy is a technique rooted in the idea that creative expression can foster healing and mental well-being. Art, either creating it or viewing others' art, is used to help people explore emotions, develop self-awareness, cope with stress, boost self-esteem, and work on social skills. Art therapy and ARTivism are the foundations of MFC – we are so excited to be exploring it in further depth each month!

More about donations:
MFC is run solely from a passionate team of volunteers. We strongly believe in diversity & that empowerment is a right for EVERYBODY. We know times have been tough, but your donations make these events possible. Please, give what you can afford and we will be sure to pay it forward.
