"Murray Rides: Skills in Motion" is a community-focused cycling event designed to inspire and empower children and youth in the Shire of Murray. The event aims to celebrate bike riding as a fun, healthy, and sustainable activity while enhancing participants' confidence and skills through engaging, age-appropriate workshops.
The workshop is aimed at developing the skills and enjoyment of riding a bike. It is appropriate for all skill levels with activities designed to progress the riding ability of novice and experienced riders. Following an initial skills assessment riders will be grouped based on age and experience and taken through activities and games in both an on-road (roads and paths) and off-road (trails and pump track) environment. Participants will learn to apply these skills in both individual and group riding scenarios.
Additional entertainment includes activities from the Shire of Murray Youth Team and a bike-themed Story Time session hosted by Murray Library for younger children. Sausage sizzle on us, too😉
