Join us on Thursday 22 August as artist Monique Tippett shares her insights about her artistic practice and her recent residency at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshops.

Monique Tippett is a regional artist and curator based in Dwellingup, Western Australia. Initially trained as a fine furniture maker, she has dedicated the last 24 years to creating wood sculpture and wall installations. Monique’s work, conveys her profound connection with the natural environment surrounding her home in Dwellingup and the forest landscapes of Western Australia. Through her work she strives to portray its scale, its light, texture, and beauty. She hopes to bring focus to its fragility in the face of the grave man-made threats before it. As an established and multi-award-winning West Australian artist, Monique has a prolific studio practice and portfolio of public and private artworks exhibited both within Western Australia and internationally.  Over the last 5 years Monique established Lost Eden Creative - Artist Run Initiative in her hometown of Dwellingup, curating monthly exhibition programs supporting Western Australian artists.
