Museum of Togetherness: Creative Reflection Workshop
Event description
Running alongside the Museum of Togetherness, this guided workshop is an opportunity for students to reflect upon experiences of living aboard in a safe space. Guided by visual artist Jodie Whalen, you'll be led through creative activities which encourage expressions of your personal journey, and connection with your fellow students.
Inspired by the Japanese 'Tanabata Festival' and material of 'tanzaku,' students will be invited to contribute their written thoughts, feelings, and experiences to the exhibition.
The Museum of Togetherness is a pop-up exhibition created for international students at USyd to connect through shared experiences of living abroad. Featuring personal stories and treasured keepsakes, it’s a space to explore feelings of homesickness, cultural adjustment, and belonging, and to discover you’re not alone in the journey.
Free. All welcome.
