Museums Victoria's Inaugural Gold Jewellery Acquisitive Prize: Information Session and Q&A
Event description
Are you a jeweller or creative practitioner looking for an exciting opportunity? Museums Victoria recently announced the launch of its inaugural Gold Jewellery Acquisitive Prize, a new award recognising excellence and innovation in conceptual jewellery design. The Prize offers a platform for jewellers and creative practitioners to push boundaries in jewellery design, craft and storytelling with an invitation to respond to the State of Victoria Gold Jewellery Collection.
The prize will be awarded in the following categories:
•Major Prize
•First Peoples Prize
•Emerging Prize
Winners in each of the three prize categories will receive a commission fee to transform their concept into a wearable piece that will be acquired into the Victorian State Collection on completion.
Bec Carland, Senior Curator from Museums Victoria will be online with us to talk about the prize and answer questions. Bec will also provide an overview of the State of Victoria Gold Jewellery Collection for people who weren’t able to attend a collection viewing in person.
This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Museums Victoria and to have a piece acquired into the State Collection. We hope you can join us.
