Music As Meditation & The Art of Mystical Improvisation - Immersive One-Day Retreat (in Toodyay, about 1hr 20 mins from Perth)

Cost: $110, $66 concession, $55 AUSTA members, $25 students & teens (not including booking fee)

An ideal opportunity instrumental players and singers to dive in and learn how to attune your vibration and your energy to higher ideals and sources of healing, and how this deeper awareness permeates and resonates as the source of your music, not just your instrument. No previous improvisation of meditation experience necessary.

Tea and refreshments provided in the breaks. Just bring your instrument, pen & notepad, water bottle, and lunch.


Rupert Guenther is a Vienna-trained concert soloist and composer who has performed and taught violin, composition, improvisation and creativity worldwide for over 20 years. He has released over 35 albums of his own music since 2003 including 5 albums commissioned and recorded by ABC Classic FM and presented his approaches at international conferences, masterclasses and seminars including The Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, the European String Teachers Association (ESTA), Vienna University of Performing Arts (MDW), the University of Western Australia, WAAPA, and the International Society for Improvised Music (ISIM) in the USA and Switzerland, and has played with members of Frank Zappa’s band, Procul Harem, Little River Band and toured with Olivia Newton-John, Demis Roussos and Beatles’ producer Sir George Martin to name a few.
