Music in ECE - Amuse, delight, excite

Implementing intentional and rich musical experiences can be daunting for many kaiako, but serve both adults and children in powerful ways.

This workshop will explore common barriers that teachers may have about their own ability to facilitate musical experiences, and provide a foundation for broadening your musical mindset. We will explore small but significant strategies for inspiring children’s musical creativity and unlocking musical identities.

Learning Outcomes:

• To build awareness of any mindsets or beliefs that may be limiting your confidence in facilitating musical play
• To gain more clarity on the strategies available to enrich musical experiences that amuse, excite and delight both yourselves and tamariki.
