Music Makers & Art Shakers: Music themed art workshop
Event description
Sunday 31 August, 2pm | Scarborough Community Centre
Ages 5+ (5–6 year olds must be accompanied by an adult)
Part of the JazzConnect Festival
Proudly supported by the City of Stirling
Get ready to make some art! Music Makers & Art Shakers is a fun, hands-on workshop where kids will create music-themed artworks using techniques of collograph printing and collage. Inspired by rhythm, sound, and jazz vibes, young artists will cut, stick and stamp their way through a joyful mix of creativity and music.
We'll be looking at a collage artist called Romare Bearden who was inspired by Blues and jazz in New York in the 50's & 60's!
For our younger artists (ages 5–6), a grown-up must stay to share in the fun! Children aged 7+ are welcome to stay independently while parents enjoy the live jazz performances happening in nearby Scarborough venues.
Come join the creative buzz at the Scarborough Jazz Festival—and let the music move your art!
