Music Makers: Create, Collaborate, Perform!
Event description
Unleash your child’s creativity these school holidays in a unique music-making adventure! In this special collaboration between McClelland and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, young musicians aged 8–14 are invited to join dynamic cellist and educator Richard Vaudrey and MSO musicians for a hands-on, high-energy workshop.
Participants will explore rhythm, melody, improvisation, and ensemble skills through fun, interactive activities using their instruments, voices, and bodies. Working together, they’ll co-create an original piece of music to be performed in a special showing for parents and carers at the end of the session.
Whether your child plays classical, jazz, pop, or is just starting out, this workshop is designed to inspire and include all levels and genres. Don’t miss this chance to make music with the pros!
