Join Indian Classical Musician Shivam Rath, Ether Duo (Mark Buhmann & Mamia Kato) and Helen Selmeczy from The Yogini for a combined Sunday SoundHealing experience with Yin Yoga and a highly charged musical Kirtan Climax. More Details below :

5 - 6pm - Join a restorative Yin Yoga with Helen Selmeczy and Mamia Kato's live Sound Healing. In this gentle restorative session, Helen blends ancient disciplines together  creating an Integrative practice of breath, mantra, mudra, and movement in conjunction with Mia's expertise sound magic and full set of Crystal Bowls. 

Note * 

Please Bring a mat, cushion, blanket / shawl and or stool / chair if joining for the whole program. 

Children are welcome for the kirtan but advised against joining the Yin Yoga and Sound Healing due to the sensitivity of the sound space.

Embark on a musical journey into the exotic realms of Indian Raga music with multi instrumentalist and crystal slider, as he blends mantra and group kirtan chanting with Indian Classical music.
This evening will feature a whole spectrum of musical styles from traditional music, bhajans, interactive kirtan singing to unique dynamic fusions and an ecstatic pace that uplifts and transcends.This is a unique music experience like no other and a unique style of sharing that Shivam has created and developed over the last 10 years sharing and touring across Australia and internationally.

Musical magician and producer, Shivam is exploring exciting new realms with modern day technology and his Indian Classical training. Using the 22-string Hindustani Slide Guitar and his unique crystal ball as a slide, he effortlessly draws unique one of a kind signature sounds and melodies based on Raga and his own musical expressions. Exploring diverse styles and musical cultures including the Japanese Shakuhachi flute, the rhythmic beats of the Indian Tabla, and expressive vocals based on traditional devotional songs, Raga and ancient mantras transforming old into new and just as often in the moment fully improvised. Shivam’s approach breaks genre barriers, creating a harmonious blend of musical influences for a captivating and holistic listening experience that can be a deeply dynamic journey from meditative listening to up beat transcendental dance with full electronic music production.In addition to instrumental prowess, Shivam's musical artistry extends to vocals, rooted in the profound vocal system of Indian Classical Music and Sanskrit Mantra. He seamlessly weaves these traditional elements with progressive flavours influenced by his Western upbringing, creating a unique musical tapestry that he often demonstrates on stage with real time looping. Shivam believes that each instrument offers a distinct perspective on music, enriching his understanding of rhythm, melody, wind, and vocal nuances. This holistic approach allows each instrument to complement the others, contributing to his comprehensive mastery of music as a unified and diverse art form. More about Helen Selmeczy's journey as a devoted Yoga practitioner spans an impressive 50 years, commencing her practice during her teenage years. Her profound ardor for Yoga Philosophy has been a guiding force throughout her life. Helen embarked on transformative studies in both India, Nepal and Tibet. A Sattva Master Yoga Teacher and recognised as a Master teacher by the Yoga Alliance International, Helen specialises in a diverse range of Yoga disciplines.

More About Ether Duo
The Ether Duo consists of multi instrumentalists Mamia Kato and Mark Buhmann who effortlessly cross the genres of ambient and indian classical to contemporary. Mamia playiing Japanese Koto. Tanpura Crystal Bowls and Crystal Harp. And Mark playing Keyboards, Guitar, Sitar and Mohan Veena.
Mamia has many years experience in sound healing using her crystal bowls and has produced Albums on major music platforms
Together they have produced 2 Ambient relaxation albums ‘Swell’ released in 2023 and ‘Cosmic Alchemy’ released in 2024.
