Vv Pete – the SZA-cosigned rap artist on the verge of full-blown stardom – has over the past 3 years solidified her place as a one-of-a-kind, infectious, and vital face of Australia’s new wave of rap via global club music. With her indelible fusion of precision hooks, ear-rattling club beats and global dance music, Sydney-based rapper and singer Vv Pete is poised to become one of Australia’s breakout international stars.

Drawing early comparisons to Missy Elliott, Ice Spice and Lizzo, her 2022 debut single Bussit blew up worldwide, entering rotation on legendary New York hip-hop radio station Hot 97. Teaming up with UTILITY for Jersey-influenced smash Jordan 1s and party-anthem Bacardi Papi, winning Sydney Music Arts and Culture Awards ‘Song of the Year’ two years in a row, ‘Best Live Act’, and the prophetic ‘Next Big Thing’.

From her billboard portrait in Times Square NY, to SBS World News feature, Wassa on NY Fashion Week runway, to captivating audiences alongside Denzel Curry on his AU tour, headlining twice at the Sydney Opera House in the the past year alone and fresh off the back her her debut ‘Euro Varvie’ tour to 6+ cities, Vv Pete isn’t running – she’s sprinting.

Street University is a youth development program for marginalised young people aged 12-25 years, established and administered by the Ted Noffs Foundation.

It provides a range of creative, life skills and design and technology activities as a way to hook young people into non-traditional health and welfare setting where they are given the opportunity to take part in drug and alcohol programs and other therapeutic services, vocational and education workshops, and mentoring and bridging programs. 

A central principle of the program is the valuing of the resourcefulness and agency of young people, aimed at increasing self-expression, goal-setting, skill-building and social participation.
