MUST x WOK BOI pres. 'API'
Event description
Introducing 'API' - meaning flame or fire in Bahasa Indonesian.
We needed to call some back up for this…
We are so lucky to welcome a friend and inspiring chef, ‘WOK BOI’ back to home turf with a menu heavily influenced by the flavours and experiences of his recent travels. To say that Aldwin a.k.a ‘WOK BOI’ is proud of his Indonesian heritage is an understatement, the deep connection that he shares with Eastern cuisine as a chef and food as a whole, is one you’ll only be able to truly understand by attending this iteration of MUST.
For $160, you will get an all-inclusive and truly excessive feast over 3 courses. We will explore the many forms of ‘API’ across food, drink and culture, whether it be the heat of a flame or the euphoric high spice it leaves for its victims. Cooking and eating with fire changes the way we behave, it sparks emotions and leaves an everlasting feeling which we crave more and more.
We always aim to make our dining experiences as inclusive as possible so please reach out to us with any allergies, dietary restrictions or non-alcoholic requirements so that we can plan and hopefully please accordingly.
This event will be operating as a first in best dressed with 40 seats available, we’ve told you before, you don't wanna miss this one.
We have previously brought these events to our community operating on a razor thin budget, relying heavily upon incredibly generous support from friends and loved ones. We would like to stress that MUST is a fundraising event with all profits being donated to the Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Gaza Fund. We are very privileged to be living the way that we are able to, and have the opportunity to run events like these. We hope you keep this at the forefront of your mind and dig deep when asked to donate on the night and throughout the ticketing process.
This event takes place on stolen land. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land - The Gadigal People of the Eora Nation and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be.
