Mutukāroa / Hamlins Hill Regional Park - Planting Day

To Humantitix tree planting booked visitors & others for the date of Sunday 23rd June @ Mutukāroa/ Hamlins hill

I hope you are all well.

I’m just emailing to say that the volunteers at the last planting date June 16th, got the bulk of the plants into the ground at Mutukāroa,

My apologies but we now need to cancel the listed planting at Mutukāroa/ Hamlins hill planting of the date -Sunday 23rd June.

So we won’t need to hold another planting event this weekend at this site. The few plants that we have left would be difficult to co-ordinate volunteers to plant (multiple locations spread across the park).

If you are keen to still do a planting on this weekend, there’s always the Hūnua planting on June 22nd.

Join Rangers and volunteers for a fun exciting day out on our regional parks.

Bring your family and friends to help plant trees and keep Auckland green.

When:          The day will start at 10.00am

Where:         Mutukāroa / Hamlins Hill Regional Park, 1014 Great South Road, Mount Wellington, Auckland
                        Follow the signs to the meeting site.  Easy access for walking - 10 minutes walk to the planting site.  Parking at Park entrance Great South Road.  Valley infill under planting.

What to bring:

• Sturdy covered boots or shoes.

• Weather appropriate clothes (sun or rain).

• Bottle of water.

• Spades and gloves if you have them. If you don't have tools, we can provide you with a spade and some gloves.

To avoid potential disappointment, planning to attend an earlier date rather than a later date should ensure trees to plant availability.

Protect our parks from kauri dieback:  bring only clean footwear and equipment to our parks.

We'll provide food at the end of the planting.
