Blended Tube Feeding Family Panel: Medical Webinar
Description
When your child is tube fed, exploring blended feeding can feel like one more thing to learn and manage. You may have questions about where to start and how it could work for your family.
We’re joined by Sarah Thomas and Lewis Railton from Blended by Sarah, and Eliana Joseph from Tubie Fun. Together, they’ll share what blended tube feeding has been like for two families at different stages. They’ll talk about the trial and errors, the benefits and the challenges. They’ll also share the ways they have made blended feeding work for them.
In this webinar we’ll explore:
What led each family to explore blended feeding
Balancing blended feeding with family meal planning and preparation
Navigating advice from health professionals
What they wish they had known at the beginning of their journey
This is the first webinar in our two-part series on blended tube feeding. Find out more about the other webinar, Nutrition & Blended Tube Feeding with Senior paediatric dietitian Kate Dehlsen from Sydney Children's Hospital.

Guest Speaker

Sarah Thomas & Lewis Railton
Sarah is the founder of Blended by Sarah, a family company shaped by her own tube feeding journey with her son, Lewis. When Lewis received a G-tube in early childhood, Sarah wanted him to keep having whole, nourishing food and stay part of family meals. Sarah brings lived experience as a parent, along with a background in hospitality, food manufacturing and events. She is passionate about helping other tube feeding families feel informed, supported and included. Lewis is part of the Blended by Sarah family and brings his own lived experience of growing up tube fed. Now 18, Lewis offers a young person’s perspective on tube feeding, food, family meals and inclusion. He shares what it has been like to grow up as a tube fed child and why being included in everyday family life matters.

Eliana Joseph
Eliana is mum to Leah and Luke. Luke was born with a rare genetic muscle condition and has been tube fed since birth. Eliana knows what it is like to manage tube feeding, appointments and care routines while trying to keep family life moving. She is passionate about helping tube feeding families feel seen, supported and less alone. Through sharing her family’s story, and her work with Tubie Fun, Eliana helps families connect, learn and advocate for their children.
