Understanding how to market yourself as a creative
A TWO-PART WORKSHOP SERIES
Do you understand how your values create your artistic identity and how this identity can support selling your work online?
This two-part workshop series will be relevant to those wanting to promote themselves as creatives online, outside of more traditional avenues such as galleries and art shows. The content will cover:
- Identifying your core values
- Looking at how your values align with your creative practice and identity
- Understanding what you are selling and who your audience is
- Creating your brand
- Reflecting your values and brand in your website and other online platforms
The workshops will include exercises, examples, case studies, and opportunities to ask questions in a small and supportive environment. It will be led by Liz Cooper, a curator, writer and consultant in the creative sector, and Elizabeth Wood, an experienced visual artist with expertise in marketing and online selling.
Note: The content in this workshop can apply to any creative across any artform: visual arts, music, literature, performing arts, craft, etc.
Workshop 1: 1-3pm, Monday 14 October 2024
Workshop 2: 11am-2pm, Monday 21 October 2024
