Hailing from the picturesque nipaluna/Hobart, SOULFUL LEGACY + Co. carries forward the cherished connection between lutruwita/Tasmania and the rich traditions of African American gospel, funk and soul. Anchored by a stellar rhythm section of nipaluna/Hobart’s finest, Gianni Puli (MD/guitar), Patrick Legg (drums), Kyle Hawkins (bass), Louis Monaghan (keyboards) and ARIA-nominated guest pianist, Andrew Legg, SOULFUL LEGACY + Co. celebrate the stirring works of Kirk Franklin, Myron Butler, Donald Lawrence and more.
Their Company brings together the roof-raising harmonies of your favourite Tasmanian voices, featuring the esteemed Maria Lurighi, who with SOULFUL LEGACY draw on collective credits spanning collaborations with Stephen Schwartz (Godspell/Pippin/Wicked), Kirk Franklin, Horace Boyer, Myron Butler (God’s Property/Kirk Franklin/Levi), Khristian Dentley (Take 6/BoL Worship Center), Jamar Jones, Steven Ford (Richard Smallwood/Fred Hammond) and Australia’s Marcia Hines and Tommy Emmanuel.
