Ethiopian-born chef Yeshi Desta is bringing her vibrant, signature flavours to the North Shore for three exclusive nights. The creative force behind the beloved pop-up My Mother’s Kitchen, Yeshi has been honing her craft in Aotearoa and abroad since she can remember—and now, she’s sharing her African soul food at Vondel in Devonport.
Recently returned from a trip back home where she picked up more of her mothers recipes, Yeshi will lovingly prepare and serve each dish slowly throughout the evening, encouraging guests to slow down and savour the experience. The Vondel team will be on hand with a selection of drinks on offer to complement the meal.
