Searching for Stillness: My Nightingale EP launch

For one night, Rosny Barn will host the incredible Elly Hoyt, who is launching her new EP searching for stillness. Elly Hoyt, using the pseudonym "My Nightingale" will be supported by an incredible band to present her sophomore EP. 

Elly Hoyt transmutes her soulful jazz roots to indie-folk, a sound which was described by the Sunshine Coast Ukulele Festival as, "absolutely exquisite... modern soul-funk, a bit folky, a bit Celtic, with phenomenal voices, harmonies and dry humour!"

This offering showcases Hoyt's exceptional talent and creativity, exploring themes of friendship and the challenges of separation, childhood and the need to keep moving.

With special guests Little Valley Darlings, a new vocal trio based out of Tasmania, featuring the lauded vocalists Elly Hoyt, Katy Raucher, and Mark Schmalfuss. Drawing on the rich vein of folk, Americana, and jazz, the trio delivers intricate 3-part harmonies alongside with their knack for clever songwriting and evocative storytelling. These elements come together for their shows that are both a joyous celebration and hauntingly intimate, and always striving to their end goal of something that is "wholesome and cosy".
