Supporting Good Settlement Outcomes for Multicultural Young People

Understanding and implementing the National Youth Settlement Framework

October 14th and 21st

These interactive sessions employ the National Youth Settlement Framework — an evidence-based national guide to good practice for working
with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.

By attending this training you will explore:

  • Culture and identity and its role in youth settlement
  • Pre-settlement experiences of young people
  • Factors impacting good settlement
  • Strategies to support good settlement outcomes through case studies and small group activities

This training is designed to assist you to build skills and knowledge to support young people to reach their potential as active citizens in Australian society. 

This is a valuable professional development and networking opportunity for workers from a variety of sectors including youth, settlement, health and government who currently engage with or are looking to improve engagement with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.  

    NOTE: The training is delivered over 2 half-day sessions – October 14th and October 21st, 2021 from 9:30am to 1:00pm each day. 

    Participants must attend both sessions.
