Event description

Managing a Multidisciplinary Team

Virtual Medical MyTime with Kindred

About this event

Parents and caregivers often bear the responsibility of ensuring that information is shared with everyone who is involved in the care of their child, including medical professionals, allied health staff, and their child's education team.

Join this peer group discussion to connect with other families who have children with disability, developmental delay, or neurodivergence and medical needs. Hear how others manage and communicate with the various therapy and medical services within their child's multidisciplinary team. Share your experience or ask advice from others walking a similar path.

This event is facilitated by Pam

Pam lives in Canberra with her husband Tom and their four children. Their nine-year-old son, Christopher, was born with Congenital Cytomegalovirus. They enjoy spending quality time together as a family, creating special memories and raising compassionate humans. Pam is passionate about empowering new mothers and carers to own their choices.

She is currently studying to become a qualified birth, postpartum, and end-of-life doula to work closely with and better support families facing difficult diagnoses in utero, neonatally, and beyond.

Who is this event for?

Medical MyTime is for parents and carers who are navigating the health and medical systems with a child with disability, developmental delay or neurodivergence.

During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
