Event description

Community Inclusion

MyTime Online

About this event

We all want our children to feel like they belong and are connected to their local community. For children with disability, this sense of belonging is essential, and yet it can also be challenging to achieve.

Join this peer group discussion to hear how families are getting their children involved in sports and other activities in their local area. Share your experiences supporting your child in participating in the community.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas.

This event is facilitated by Bree

Bree is a mum of two children. Her second child Dax was born with Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV). She has lived around Australia before settling on the south coast of NSW with her family.

Bree and her partner Mitchell love the outdoors and will always find a way to include Dax in their adventures along with their daughter Dylan.

Who is this event for?

MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or Autism.

During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
