The Quiet Load: Evening Virtual MyTime
Event description
Not all parts of parenting are visible. Some are easier to see, the physical labour and daily routine. Others are quieter and easier to overlook.
This session is about naming that load, the emotional weight of being the parent who holds space for big feelings. Who absorbs dysregulation, keeps things moving and carries what others can’t always see.
We’re joined by Sarah Elsleiman, Belongside Families community member and peer facilitator, who brings insight and deep empathy to this conversation.
In this peer group we’ll explore
What the “quiet load” looks and feels like in everyday family life
Why emotional labour so often goes unseen
The power of naming your needs, boundaries, and emotions
How to share the load without guilt or fear
