Through MyTime I’ve found a community of parents who understand and support each other’s journeys. We share our challenges, wins, strategies and resources. It’s been so helpful and so supportive.
Supporting Sibling Relationships: Virtual MyTime
Description
Sibling relationships can be full of love, loyalty and connection. They can also feel complicated and full of questions, especially when one child has disability.
Parents may wonder how to support each child while helping them understand one another.
This Virtual MyTime session is a chance to connect with other parents and carers. We’ll reflect on what helps each child feel seen, supported and included.
Share your experiences and talk about things like:
What sibling relationships look like in your family
Responding to conflict and reducing tension
Making space for each child’s needs
Helping siblings talk about their feelings
Supporting connection without forcing closeness
This is an online peer group
Virtual MyTime brings parents and carers together to talk and connect over topics families may be navigating.
Guided by a facilitator who is a peer, with space to hear from families, share your own experiences, or just listen.
This peer group discussion is not recorded, to respect and protect participants’ privacy.
