Are you looking to connect with other parents and carers who truly understand what it’s like? Our sessions are facilitated by experienced parent facilitators and while you may see different facilitators across the term, the focus remains the same: a safe, welcoming space to feel heard, supported, and understood.

Who this peer group is for
Parents and carers living in Australia raising children with disability, developmental delay, Autism, rare and genetic conditions and high medical needs.

Facilitator

This group is facilitated by Emily
Emily is a parent of two, with her eldest identified as Gifted, ADHD and Autistic. She walks alongside other parents with kindness, encouraging self-compassion and honouring the uniqueness of every family’s journey.

- Will this peer group be recorded?
No. As a peer group, participants are invited to share their experiences. To create a safe space and protect everyone’s privacy this event will not be recorded.
- Do I have to share my experiences?
No. You are invited to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
You are welcome to just come along and listen. Or to share in a way that feels right for you, either by speaking or by using the chat.
- Do I have to have my camera on?
We ask that you briefly turn your camera on at the beginning of the session. This ensures that there is a real person on the other side of the screen, which helps create a safe space for everyone to share.
- I am a professional, can I attend?
This event is not for professionals. It is designed to be a safe and supportive space for parents and carers. Professionals are welcome to register for our webinars.
