Tue, 20 Oct, 5am - 6am EDT

Description

The end of the year brings so much with it. School events, family plans, celebrations and appointments. All while the everyday family things still need to happen too.

It also brings plenty of expectations about what we should do, where we should be and what our children should take part in.

This conversation is a chance to connect with other parents and carers. We’ll talk about managing those expectations in ways that work for you and your family.

Share your experiences and talk about things like:

  • Managing expectations from family, friends and other people

  • Saying no, changing plans or doing things differently when your family needs to

  • Working out what feels manageable for your child

  • Putting boundaries in place that support you, your child and your family

This is an online peer group

  • Virtual MyTime brings parents and carers together to talk and connect over topics families may be navigating.

  • Guided by a facilitator who is a peer, with space to hear from families, share your own experiences, or just listen.

  • This peer group discussion is not recorded, to respect and protect participants’ privacy.
