Rediscovering Your Identity: Evening Virtual MyTime
Event description
As parents and carers, we juggle so many roles—advocate, organiser, therapist, teacher—that it’s easy to lose sight of who we are outside of these roles. This session is a chance to pause, breathe, and remember the other parts of yourself that matter too.
Together, we’ll talk about the identities that sometimes get put on hold, and how to rediscover joy, hobbies, and passions outside of parenting. Looking after your identity isn’t just about self-care, it’s about showing your child what it means to grow, dream, and belong as themselves.
In this peer group we’ll explore
What it means to be you beyond your caring role
Gentle ways to reconnect with hobbies, passions, and friendships
How identity, self-care, and parenting are woven together
Why caring for yourself strengthens how you care for your child
This group is facilitated by Emily
Emily is a parent of two, with her eldest identified as Gifted, ADHD and Autistic. She walks alongside other parents with kindness, encouraging self-compassion and honouring the uniqueness of every family’s journey.
