MyUni foundations for teaching staff - setting up a course
Event description
Gain support to effectively address the minimum requirements when setting up a course in MyUni.
When setting up a course in MyUni there are a number of minimum requirements and standard design tools that should be used to ensure students using this are provided with consistent and engaging learning content and resources.
Learning objectives
In this workshop, you will be supported to:
set up a course in your sandpit using the current template
add the minimum requirements to a new course template including the course outline, course outcomes, assessment with weightings, course contacts and SELTs information
use the Design Tools and the Rich Text Editor to add page details in structured blocks
check the minimum requirements checklist to ensure that your course meets the minimum requirements
use your chosen navigation format to set up and design a series of pages or modules and link these to a main menu page
set up a series of assessments that include scores, weightings and due dates.
add a welcome message, video and at least one communications approach such as a discussion forum.
