Overview

This 1.5-hour online webinar will highlight research and evaluation projects within the NGO alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sector. The webinar will feature a range of research and evaluation projects, such as targeted research on AOD service delivery for priority populations, and using data to evaluate and enhance service delivery. It will also introduce NGO AOD workers to valuable research and evaluation resources, including the Matilda Centre mentoring program, the CMHDARN research primer, and NADA’s eLearning modules.

This event is delivered by NADA’s Research Capacity Building Project team and coordinated by Michelle Black, Research Project Officer.

Learning outcomes
Participants will:

  • Gain insights into current research and evaluation efforts in the AOD sector.
  • Understand how research outcomes inform and improve service delivery and practice.
  • Learn the fundamentals of conducting research, including challenges and strategies.
  • Connect with potential research partners and collaborators.
  • Develop an understanding of research and evaluation capacity building and how to implement it within their service.

Who should attend?

This event is open to all staff from NADA member services, regardless of research experience. It is designed for anyone interested in research and evaluation, including frontline support workers, clinical staff, managers, project workers, data analysts, researchers, and other staff.

This is a NADA member-only event.
