Nada; the Yoga of Sound and Music

Price $40 – $50 AUD + BF Get tickets

Event description

This half-day workshop will be an introductory journey into the sublime practices of Classical Nada Yoga, the branch of yoga the utilises sound vibration and music as pathways to meditation and personal evolution.

There will be two x 90-minute sessions, with a half-hour break in between.

The first session will consist of some gentle asana (physical poses and stretches) to relax and ground us. There will be a talk on the concepts of Nada Yoga, including the system of Swara Sadhana, followed by the practice of Sound Meditation.

The second session will focus on mantra. The Sanskrit language contains sounds that can potentially activate and expand the individual consciousness in unique ways.... by singing Sanskrit mantra we have an experiential opportunity to understand this effect.

The use of harmony while singing mantra adds another layer of 'vibrational sound-bath' to this ancient practice. Singing in general, but harmony singing in particular, is well-known for its effect of supporting joy of life to arise, hand-in-hand with the opening of heart energy.

To complete, we will enjoy Guided Relaxation with Music and Imagery.

Satyamo will email information to all who book in, including what to bring on the day. Please contact her with any other enquiries: yogasoundsong@gmail.com / 0427 121 153

40% of the proceeds from this workshop will be donated to the Bob Brown Foundation, to help support the ongoing campaigns to protect our remaining native forest from logging.

Please also consider voluntarily donating even more generously to this important cause. Thank you.
