Nagambie drop-in session - Lease and Licensing Policy

Organisational policies provide the framework and structure for Councils business operations to ensure application of good governance, risk and compliance.

The scope of the policy is to support Council in its decision making in accordance with obligations under the Local Government Act 2020 and provides clarity on Council’s approach to leasing and licencing to any party. The draft policy supports the sustainability of Council’s properties through appropriate and equitable contribution towards maintenance and oversight of the facilities in line with each category of lease or licence and the associated agreement.

It is important to note that this Policy currently does not apply to Councils’ Recreation Reserves and sporting clubs.

Strathbogie Shire Council invites all management committees, community groups, commercial tenants and members of the community to meet with Council Officers to discuss the Draft Lease and Licensing Policy.

Sessions are 15 minutes and can have a maximum of 4 members from a group in one session
