Event description
We are again offering the opportunity for staff to purchase a 2025 NAIDOC shirt, however, rather than using an Eastern States mob for the design and production, we are thrilled that, Year 11 student and Moorditj Mob member William Mullaley has done the design for this year.
Will’s is a very proud Widi and Yamatji man from the Mid West and his design tells the story of the ‘Journey of Wesley’. The base design incorporates the college colours, an addition of brick colours to represent the school as a place of learning and blue for the Derbal Yerrigan. The design tells the story of how Wesley College brings different cultures together with the use of indigenous symbol. The meeting place is a symbol of learning and growth and that’s where the two paths meet to blend into one. This tells the story that once you go to Wesley you become a Wesleyan for life.
Wesley College will be celebrating NAIDOC week– with the theme “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy” - at the end of this term. We do have a tight turnaround for ordering as such if you would like a shirt please order by Monday 12th May.
Please can you share this message with anyone within your sphere of influence so that as many people as possible can get behind this inclusive initiative.
