Nail Technology Online Workshop | Industry Focus
Description
Service and Creative Skills Australia (SaCSA) invites nail technicians, salon owners, employers, and industry stakeholders to participate in an online workshop focused on the skills and workforce needs of the nail technology industry.
As part of the Update of Beauty Qualifications project, this workshop will explore the realities of working in the sector and the capabilities individuals need to enter and succeed in nail technician roles. Participants will be invited to share insights on current practices, client expectations, emerging services and technologies, and the skills that are most valued in workplace.
The discussion will explore what makes a nail technician job ready, the challenges facing employers when recruiting and developing staff, and the knowledge, technical skills and professional behaviours required for success in today’s nail industry.
Feedback gathered through this workshop will help inform future training products to better reflect industry needs and support a skilled, capable and job-ready workforce.
We encourage participation from salon owners, managers, experienced nail technicians, industry associations, product suppliers, educators working industry, and other stakeholders with experience in the nail technology workforce.
