NAKBA DAY: Palestine and International Law Panel at Melbourne Law School
Event description
Law Students For Refugees are hosting a free seminar with academics at the University of Melbourne Law School.
Spend the evening of Nakba Day equipping yourself with the tools you need to confidently talk about issues like genocide, the rights of States, and human rights.
The event will include:
5:30pm Delicious snacks and drinks while you view work by local artists
5:45pm Live poetry reading
6:00pm 'Palestine and International Law' presentations from Amin G Abbas, Dr Adil Hasan Khan, Dr Richard Joyce, and Dr Jordy Silverstein.
7:00pm Question and Answer session
Everyone is welcome even if you have no academic background or prior knowledge of law. The panel will be an inclusive and supportive environment to hone your knowledge and build your skills as an advocate. Tickets are free, but optionally you can donate to Olive Kids at checkout.
