have pulled together something special for South Burnett - a movie outing with a BIG difference…

a night to celebrate and connect with our local farmers and YOU are invited!

We're stoked to have Leila McDougall, the mastermind behind (and co-star of!) "Just A Farmer", with us in Nanango. She'll introduce the film and stick around for Q&A after. She'll be joined by Kingaroy local Eddie Sloan from Rural and Remote Mental Health.

A few things to know:

• Heads up - the film is rated M (15+)

• Bring the whole family anyway! We've got the kids covered with:

  • Face painting, balloon twisting and more for our little ones (2-5 years)

  • Age-appropriate craft activities for the 6-14 crowd

  • All supervised.

Come hungry because this is way more than just a movie night:

This cinematic journey amplifies the often-overlooked voices of rural communities and sheds light on mental health struggles. It's more than a movie; it's a dedicated movement creating awareness, dismantling stigmas, and impacting the wellbeing of rural Australia. "Just a Farmer" breaks new ground, fostering understanding and assuring individuals they don't face darkness alone.

The film came out in 2024 and is rated M(15+). Run time is 103 minutes. There are heavy themes, including suicide and alcohol misuse.

Please use the ramp on the rear of the building near the car park rather than the front Henry Street entry (stairs).
