Event description

Get ready to be part of an unforgettable experience. Join the biggest regional Meditation & Taichi event guided by the Venerables to experience the collective bliss of mindfulness. Nan Tien Temple is honouring the UN's International Women’s Day (IWD) #InspireInclusion with a fundraising event for Illawarra Women's Health Centre, aligning with the IWD 2024 theme #InspireInclusion and #CountHerIn, to empower women to better manage money.

Join the Monastics, Sally Stevenson AM, Director of Illawarra Women's Health Centre, and the Event Supporters below as we make Illawarra history for the largest regional Charity Meditation Fundraiser. Come together with like-minded people as we put our words into action, still our mind and align our values. Together we put community before competition, health before wealth.

By participating in this initiative, you are not only supporting local women through Illawarra Women's Health Centre but also contributing to the wider community and to the global objectives aimed at creating a more sustainable and equitable world in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

You will experience

  • Positivity & joy
  • The collective bliss of mindfulness
  • The resonating sounds of the Buddhist blessing chants for all women
  • Community at the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere
  • Build your financial resilience and empowerment in the free workshop #CountHerIn
