Nap Ministry Workshop
Event description
Rest is Revolution 4 week series.
The Nap Ministry Workshop is a welcoming and
restorative space inspired by the work of Tricia
Hersey, founder of The Nap Ministry. This group
centers on rest as a form of resistance, healing, and
liberation, particularly for those who have been
conditioned to overwork and undervalue rest due to
capitalism, systemic oppression, or personal burnout.
In our gatherings, we explore rest as a spiritual and
political act, engaging in reflective discussions,
guided rest practices, and communal care. We
embrace Tricia Hersey’s teachings, emphasizing that
rest is not a luxury but a deeply necessary act of
self-preservation and empowerment. Through
naps, meditation, journaling, and open dialogue, we
work toward unlearning grind culture and reclaiming
the rest we deserve.
This group is open to anyone seeking a space to
slow down, re-imagine productivity, and cultivate a
more restful, intentional way of living. Whether you
are new to this philosophy or deeply immersed in
rest activism, you are welcome to join us in honoring
rest as a radical and sacred practice.
This is a 4 week workshop, one ticket gets you access to the entire 4 part series. Please plan to be present for all sessions. Doors close 15min after the start of the session.
