Non-Animal Technologies Network (NAT-Net) Research Pillar Competitive Grant Scheme Online Briefing
Event description
The Non-Animal Technologies Network (NAT-Net) is pleased to announce the launch of the Research Pillar Competitive Grant Scheme. This grant supports collaborative, NSW-led research projects that drive groundbreaking discoveries and innovations in non-animal technologies—such as advanced in vitro models, computational methods, and biochemical assays —to improve medical research and reduce reliance on animal use.
Up to three grants of $200,000 each are available for two-year projects commencing March 2026. Eligible teams must include at least two research institutions (one in NSW) and an early-mid career researcher as Chief Investigator. Host organisations may submit a maximum of two applications each.
This meeting is for researchers interested in applying for the grant.
The application and selection process includes two stages: an Expression of Interest and a Full Application. The Expression of Interest round opens on 28 July 2025. Full applications only after the application has been shortlisted after the EOI stage.
The University of New South Wales is the administering organisation of NAT-Net. The NAT-Net Research Pillar Competitive Grant is made possible by funding from NSW Health.
