NatCORR Weather Ready: Workshops for Outdoor Operations

These hands-on, in-person workshops provide professional development to enhance skills and preparedness, equipping outdoor professionals to make informed decisions in the face of increasingly severe and unpredictable weather conditions. Content includes:

• Organisational Readiness for Weather Management in the Outdoors (e.g., Climate & weather forecasting in planning & risk assessments; Outdoor & Education Sector Guidelines & Standards; Developing Organisational SOP's & Policies to assess & manage weather risks & events etc.)
• Guide to the Bureau's Information & Weather Services (delivered by the Bureau of Meteorology)
• Managing Weather Forecast Information for Outdoor Practitioners (e.g., Understanding the 7 weather forecasting needs for the outdoors; Best information sources & best practice actions for high-risk weather events; Guide to best practice in-field weather monitoring etc.)

Our expert presenters offer a diverse range of experience to give you the best possible day of learning and collaboration

• Anthony Cornelius - Managing Director of WeatherWatch brings a quarter of a century of experience as a meteorologist, combined with a love of all things outdoors to this workshop. Anthony will custom-design each workshop to be specific for your State’s unique weather patterns and severe weather events. Anthony will combine his expert weather knowledge with our outdoor specialists from NatCORR to give you information and resources applicable to your outdoor organisation.
• The Bureau of Meteorology – We are thrilled to be working alongside the Bureau during these workshops. A specialist presenter will help you optimise the use of their information website and uncover the best resources for the weather events that concern outdoor practitioners. Once again, the details in this session will be specific for your State’s unique weather patterns and event
