    Join us for a webinar about the development of a National Autism Strategy (the Strategy).

    This is an opportunity to learn more about:

    • why we’re developing a National Autism Strategy
    • what the Strategy will cover
    • how you can get involved.

    Who should attend?

    This webinar is for anyone interested in the development of the National Autism Strategy, including:

    • Autistic Australians and their families
    • people who work with Autistic people, such as carers and support workers, health professionals (including mental health and allied health), educators and employers
    • representatives of organisations that support and/or advocate for Autistic people and people with disability
    • government and other decision-makers
    • anyone else with an interest.

    How will the webinar run?

    The webinar will be online via Zoom and run for 1.5 hours.

    Panellists for the webinar include Clare Gibellini, Co-Chair of the National Autism Strategy Oversight Council, and representatives from the Department of Social Services and Department of Health. They will talk about the work that is happening and what we have heard so far.

    Attendees with have the opportunity to ask panellists questions in Zoom, as well as use the online engagement tool Mentimeter to add to the discussion about:

    • social inclusion for Autistic Australians
    • economic inclusion (education and employment) for Autistic Australians
    • diagnosis, services and supports.

    A recording of the webinar will also be published on dss.gov.au/national-autism-strategy at a later date.
