Event description
Every two years, BirdLife Australia's Beach-nesting Birds Program hosts a national conference. This year it will be held in Moonta on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia.
The event brings together all those with an interest in learning more about beach-nesting birds, their ecology, threats and conservation management. Community members, volunteer groups, land managers, conservation practitioners and researchers come together to share knowledge, participate in training opportunities and to socialise.
Friday's program involves conference presentations from a range of speakers, followed by optional afternoon activities (a bird walk, a plant ID walk or visiting our tech experts for all your hub, portal and Birdata questions answered!). The conference dinner will be held Friday night at the Port Hughes Tavern (at your own additional expense).
Saturday's program involves a morning of conference presentations, followed by an afternoon of your choice of training workshops.
On Sunday, several field trip options will be available to experience the amazing coastal areas the Yorke Peninsula has to offer. The cost for Sunday is for a lunch pack - if you wish to bring your own lunch, select the option with no lunch.
