He is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian School of Entrepreneurship (ASE) – a social enterprise that helps develop the entrepreneurial skills of school students, young entrepreneurs and anyone aged 5 to 21 years with a passion for innovation.

He will be speaking LIVE with our Secondary Students about the importance of entrepreneurial thinking and a growth mindset.

Canterbury is also inviting other schools across the nation interested in participating via webinar as part of National Careers Week.

The information will be inspiring and highly beneficial for all student futures, regardless of whether they are thinking about university or VET after school.

This event will help showcase 21st Century Skills to our students firsthand and Canterbury’s organisational passion in this space.

National Careers Week (17-23 May) is an initiative of the Career Industry Council of Australia.

It aims to celebrate careers, career development services and practitioners, and promote the economic, social and personal benefits of career development.

Career development is a process of managing learning, work and leisure to progress through life.

It includes gaining and using the skills and knowledge needed to plan and make informed decisions about education, training, and work.

Everyday decisions and priorities affect career development.

Ultimately, career development is about much more than just jobs – it is about how to live your life.

National Careers Week Objectives:
– Develop community awareness of the concept, benefit and value of career development.
– Raise aspirations, challenge stereotypes and broaden horizons about careers.
– Highlight the need for ongoing reskilling and upskilling to support careers throughout life.
– Identify the changing nature of work and its impact on all Australians.
– Showcase industries and the career opportunities available in them.
– Provide opportunities to partner with key stakeholders.
