National Deaf Women Weekend 2025

ABOUT THE NATIONAL DEAF WOMEN'S WEEKEND

Join us for a jam-packed weekend of connection, fun, and friendship in Melbourne, Victoria from Friday 3rd October to Sunday 5th October 2025 🌞🌻

Deaf Women Victoria, formerly Deaf Women Guild, ran for more than 100 years since it first started in 1901, their goal was to raise funds through various activities at social gatherings, such as craft activities for the Christmas party. Unfortunately, it went into hibernation from 2005 to 2015.

In 2015, we decided to revive the Deaf Women Guild, and we renamed it Deaf Women Victoria. This group has been running successfully for 10 years with various gatherings.

Recently, we met with Deaf Women NSW and unanimously voted for Victorian ladies to organise a weekend for Deaf women from all over Australia to gather. This gathering will be a wonderful opportunity for all Deaf women to meet and share ideas.

The Deaf Women Victoria warmly invites Deaf ladies from across Australia to join us for a great weekend.

OUR ITINERARY

Friday 3rd October - Welcome evening at a venue to be confirmed

This evening is to create our contacts in informal surroundings.

Saturday 4th October - Day outing to our beautiful Dandenongs

We are organising a bus tour to the Dandenongs

Sunday 5th October - Lunch at Novotel Melbourne on Collins

There'll be a three-course lunch at this venue with some presenters from 'Generation of Women.'

You have a few options:

• Attend all days OR
• Saturday outing only OR
• Sunday lunch only

If you choose only for the Saturday outing, you cannot attend Sunday lunch.

REGISTRATION COST

3 Day Package – Friday evening, Saturday day outing and Sunday lunch

• Early Bird - $155.00
• After 1st July – $175.00

Saturday day outing only 

• $65.00 per person.

Sunday lunch only 

• $92.50 per person

Payment methods – use your credit/debit card to pay online or invoice to do a bank transfer.

Final payment must be received by 15th August 2025.

Q. WHAT TO BRING

Melbourne's weather can be unpredictable, so please bring both sets of outfits (warm and cool).

Q. ACCOMMODATION DEALS

Deaf Women Victoria is not responsible for arranging your accommodation for the weekend. However, we have partnered with the Novotel Melbourne on Collins and Victoria Hotel to offer a special deal for our members if you would like to organise your accommodation in Melbourne. This deal will be available until September 3rd depending on the availability of the rooms.

• Standard Queen Room – 1x Queen Bed – Walk in shower
• Standard Twin Room – 2 Single Beds – Walk in shower
• Deluxe King Room – Walk in shower – If you choose to have this bed split into two, please check with Novotel
• Deluxe Twin Room – Bathtub with overhead shower

For a family Room, guests can book 2x Deluxe Twin Rooms, which can interconnect. However, this is subject to availability. If there is a family of 4 and any of you would require a bed to themselves, you can book 2 Deluxe Twin Rooms, and Novotel can place a request for interconnecting.

In case you are unable to attend the event, we can refund the amount minus the processing fee before the end of 15th August 2025.

No refund will be issued after 15th August 2025.
