National Multicultural Children - Community Leaders Roundtable
Description
National Multicultural Children's Scoping Project - Community Leaders Roundtable
Are you a community member, community leader, or multicultural sector worker?
Do you want to have a say in how we can improve experiences and outcomes for multicultural children and families across Australia?
If so, we welcome your participation in the National Multicultural Children’s Scoping Project – Community Leaders Roundtable.
About the Community Leaders Roundtable
The Community Leaders Roundtable will bring together community leaders, multicultural sector representatives and people with lived experience to share their perspectives on the experiences and needs of multicultural children and their families when accessing health and wellbeing services across Australia.
The roundtable will provide an opportunity to:
Share community insights, experiences and perspectives.
Identify key barriers and gaps affecting multicultural children and families.
Discuss what is needed to ensure the voices of multicultural children, families and communities are heard and reflected in future approaches and services.
The insights gathered through the roundtable will contribute to the National Multicultural Children’s Scoping Project, helping inform an options paper and identify opportunities to better support the participation of multicultural children and their families across Australia.
Despite making up a significant and growing part of Australia’s population, multicultural children are often underrepresented in policy discussions, research, data collection, service design and advocacy. SSI, in partnership with the Investment Dialogues for Australia’s Children, is undertaking a national consultation to better understand the needs, strengths and aspirations of multicultural children and families.
