Description
National Multicultural Children’s Scoping Project – Public Sector Roundtable
Do you work in government, public health, education, community services, or another public sector area?
Do you want to contribute to improving experiences and outcomes for multicultural children and families across Australia?
If so, we welcome your participation in the National Multicultural Children’s Scoping Project – Public Sector Roundtable.
About the Public Sector Roundtable
The Public Sector Roundtable will bring together representatives from government and public sector agencies to share insights and perspectives on the experiences and needs of multicultural children and their families when accessing health, wellbeing and related services across Australia.
The roundtable will provide an opportunity to:
Share insights, experiences and perspectives from the public sector.
Identify key barriers, service gaps and systemic challenges affecting multicultural children and families.
Explore opportunities to strengthen culturally responsive, accessible and child-centred approaches to health and wellbeing.
Consider how services, systems and policies can better respond to the diverse needs of multicultural children and families.
Discuss opportunities for greater collaboration across government, services and communities.
The insights gathered through the roundtable will contribute to the National Multicultural Children’s Scoping Project, helping inform an options paper and identify opportunities to better support the participation of multicultural children and their families across Australia.
Despite making up a significant and growing part of Australia’s population, multicultural children are often underrepresented in policy discussions, research, data collection, service design and advocacy. SSI, in partnership with the Investment Dialogues for Australia’s Children, is undertaking a national consultation to better understand the needs, strengths and aspirations of multicultural children and families.
