Event description

Mr David Smith MP and Senator Matt O’Sullivan, co-chairs of the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship, would like to extend a warm welcome for you to join the 35th Australian National Prayer Breakfast. Everyone is welcome!

Leaders from across the political spectrum, of different faiths or none, come together over breakfast as we pray for God’s blessing on all who serve our great country.

We will hear from national dignitaries, Members of Parliament, Senators and other civic leaders, as well as our guest speaker, Priyan (Max) Jeganathan. In a miraculous escape, Max and his family fled Sri Lanka's civil war and arrived in Australia as refugees in the 1980s. Going on to work as a lawyer, policy adviser, speaker and writer, his journey reflects the transformative beauty of enduring faith, amazing grace and an Australian 'fair go'. We are also delighted that the Sons of Korah will be joining us with their unique musical interpretation of the Psalms.

We are excited to live-stream the Australian National Prayer Breakfast from The Great Hall in Parliament House. We invite you to consider hosting your own local National Prayer Breakfast event. From right across the Nation, churches, households, schools and workplaces will join those gathered at Parliament House to pray for and with Australia and its leaders.

The livestream will be starting at 7:15 am AEDT with an additional streaming at 7:15 am AWST (10:15 am AEDT) so we can gather together across Australia in your timezone and at your preferred time.

We are most thankful for our wonderful Sponsors Mission Australia and Tearfund, as well as all our amazing Partners without whom this important annual event would not be possible! We encourage you to find out more about their work by clicking on their links: Bible Society, Samaritan’s Purse, Leprosy Mission, Screencraft, Hope 103.2, 1WAYFM, National School Chaplaincy Association, Every Home Global Concern, McCrindle and Jersey Road.
