National Recycling Week-Composting
Event description
Want to learn how to turn your kitchen scraps and garden clippings into valuable plant food? Call into the Inner West Sustainability Hub and we can show you how. Composting is an important step towards becoming a zero-waste community, and to improving your gardening by enriching your soil.
Choosing the right system is the first step to successfully reducing your household waste.
During this session we'll explore the differences and similarities between composting and worm farming to help you choose the right one for your household. We'll discuss how to set up and maintain your chosen system, including what to put in and what you need to leave out. You'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions of our experienced presenter.
We will have free compost bins to give away on the day.
This free workshop is presented by the Green Living Centre, an initiative of Inner West Council. As numbers are limited, this offering is only available to residents of the Inner West Council area. Search by address at the Office of Local Government website to find your local government area, if you're unsure. Proof of residency is required before attending.
Accessibility: The venue is not fully accessible. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs to help you attend.
